What happens if the paperwork gets lost?
If the paperwork gets lost in the mail, we will replace it at no cost to you. If you damage it, lose it or otherwise need a duplicate, there will be a $250 fee.
What if the vehicle was in my name and I lost the title?
You should be able to go to your local office, request a duplicate and not need our services. If it is out of the system, they are requesting a bonded title, or otherwise giving you grief, we are here to help.
What name will be on the title?
Classic Vehicle Search and Rescue LLC will be on the title; we will sign off on the back and include a notarized bill of sale so you can transfer it into your name.
Will you leave the title “open?”
No open titles, no exceptions. This is for your security and ours.
Will this be a bonded title?
No, our service does not require a bond.
Do I get a multiple vehicle discount?
Typically not, however if you have a large amount if vehicles that require our services, contact us.
Can you get me a title off a partial vin?
No, the VIN must be complete. Vehicles older than 1981 have shorter VINS, but they must be complete.
Will I get registration from Classic Vehicle Search and Rescue LLC?
For insurance reasons, no, you will have to take it to your local titling office and transfer it into your name.
Will the title have any brands?
If there is an old brand on the title (say it was in a wreck in the past) there is a possibility that it will remain. It is all dependent on your titling office.
Will it cost me any money to transfer it into my name?
Whatever taxes and fees your local registration/titling office charges will apply when you transfer the vehicle into your name. You will be responsible for these charges. Pro tip, many states charge late fees if the title is not transferred within a certain timeframe. We strongly suggest titling it into your name as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary fees and/or misplacing/damaging the title.
